With a UPF 50+ this rash guard will protect your keiki from overexposure to the sun while playing at the beach, surfing, paddling, swimming etc.

These are made from the same buttery smooth material of our loved bodysuits. As with any bathing suit please avoid velcro or snagging as it will slightly alter the appearance of the design. If this does happen, do not toss as it is still very high quality responsibly produced lole ʻauʻau (swimwear).

This rash guard should not take the place of a wetsuit. The two are different in terms of which function they serve. A rash guard is to protect against the sun, sand, and wind. A wetsuit is for keeping warm.

Design

Manu ʻIwa are aerodynamic wonders of the seascape and have long been regarded a bit of a mystery. Their seven-foot wingspan, forked tail, narrow, angled wings and light body mean they can spend months at sea without ever landing.

They are so adept to life at sea it is rare to see them on land making it hard to observe the life of the ʻIwa. On land their small legs and feet can do little more than perch on branches or steep cliffs. What they lack on land, they make up for in flight. Ocean flight is their superpower and what a superpower it is to soar up to 2.5 miles above sea level, through tumultuous storms and freezing temperatures.

Sizing

Size down as they should fit snug to your body. If you prefer a more loose fit go up in size depending on how loose you would like.
