Textiles like polyester, nylon, viscose, and others are in fact a form of plastic and derived from oil. These fibers shed micro-plastics every time they are washed which ultimately end up in the sea and contribute to the destruction of marine life.
The textile in the tops below will be the last of these produced as we search for plant-based fibers to replace them. Please hand rinse cold and hang dry to reduce the shedding of micro-plastic fibers. Mahalo!
