KALEIMAMO HAWAIʻI X ONEPAʻA HAWAIʻI - LIMITED COLLABORATION

5 star rating!

-> Designed in Hawaiʻi

-> Responsibly Printed

-> Stitched by hand in North + South America

-> Cheeky fit with a scoop neckline and a low scoop back

-> Forgiving, functional, and mid-weight fabric

-> 82% Polyester, 18% Spandex

This smooth bodysuit is beautiful, functional and forgiving. It accentuates a woman's body in the right places and is made for many types of bodies. The suit is double layered in the front providing extra support and security.

Enjoy this buttery soft bodysuit while swimming, surfing, paddling, rolling in the sand with your lil babes, and feeling GREAT because you wonʻt be worried about it falling off. These suits are also great as a fashion statement for a day excursion or night out on the town paired with your favorite jeans.

Design

A limited collaboration with Kaleimamo Hawaiʻi, Lehua Mamo, features the yellow flower of the ‘ōhi‘a lehua tree. ʻŌhiʻa lehua is endemic to Hawai‘i and refers to both the tree and its flower. ʻŌhiʻa is one of the first plants to grow when new land is formed, helping to create livable habitats for other species to flourish. A favorite flower referenced in many of our mele (songs), the lehua is often compared to a beloved sweetheart, cherished friend, or treasured family member. While most ʻōhiʻa have red blossoms, the lehua mamo variety is highly valued because of its rarity, and is used by Native Hawaiians in lei and other cultural practices.

The wood of the ʻōhiʻa, as well as its flowers and leaves, have many uses in Hawaiian culture, and the esteemed blossom is often seen in beautiful lei. Unfortunately, a new fungal disease called Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death (ROD), has infected over a million ʻōhiʻa, causing this important plant to die. There is no cure yet for ROD, so we must all help to stop the spread of ROD and ensure that this native plant lives on in perpetuity.

This print was created in partnership with Kaille Harris, an incredibly talented watercolor and digital artist and owner of Under the Moon.

Wash & Care Instructions

-> As with all swimwear, be careful to avoid velcro or snags as it will pull some of the white fibers from beneath the design. Especially the darker colors.

->Polyester and Spandex are plastic and will melt overtime in hot water and heated dryers. Hand-wash cold for longevity. Dirt and grime wash out easily with soap and a soft bristled brush or by rubbing the suit together.

-> Hang dry in the shade.

-> Do not dry clean

Sizing

Sizing runs a little big. 95% of women are one size smaller in these suits then they would expect. They do not run small like many bikinis on the market today. If you are unsure after looking over the sizing chart or prefer your swimwear a bit tighter then you will do better to order a smaller size.

The spandex textile allows them to be very accommodating of sizing fluctuations. Still not sure? Send us a message in the chat bubble with your height and weight and we would love to make you a recommendation!

Sizing

Keiki sizing can be hard to nail down as kids tend to range in size and age. Generally, and depending on your child, these suits can run a tad on the smaller size. It is best to order one to two sizes bigger in our Liʻi bodysuits. If anything they will always quickly grow into it!
